The Dali Museum
1 Dali Blvd, St Petersburg FL
Near downtown St. Petersburg, the Dali Museum contains an art gallery on the third floor featuring the works of the famed Salvador Dali. The eclectic building is hard to miss as it’s a work of art in and of itself. As an added bonus, if you are looking for a place to eat, you can find good eats at Cafe Gala inside the museum. The gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. with the exception of Thursday when it says open until 8 p.m. It is also open on Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Red Cloud Indian Art Gallery
208 Beach Drive, St Petersburg FL
The Red Cloud Indian Art Gallery has an array of art inspired by the Indians who once inhabited the area. The gallery features art that embodies that which was important to the Indians, such as harmony with the Earth. The gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
Morean Art Center – Chihuly Collection
719 Central Avenue, St Petersburg FL
The Chihuly Collection at the Morean Art Center is a gallery of exquisite works of art that are made from glass. The colorful, awe-inspiring displays make you feel like you walked into a fairy tale rather than an art center. The gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and they are open on Sunday from noon until 5 p.m.
Duncan McClellan Gallery
2342 Emerson Avenue South, St Petersburg FL
The Duncan McClellan Gallery also has glass artwork but it’s different than what would be found at the Chihuly Collection. This gallery in a posh setting and features a variety of different styles of glass art. It is definitely worth the visit. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. and on Mondays and Sundays by appointment only.
